There’s a lot of French sprinkled through the novel “Anna Karenina,” by Leo Tolstoy. I suspect it’s in the original Russian version of it as well, but it’s most certainly in my English translation. I don’t speak French, but I can recognize some of it when the words are cognates of either English words or Spanish ones.…
